GMC vs. UMC: What’s the difference?
It’s true! We did change our name!
Our church was formally known as Montezuma United Methodist Church. Under this moniker, we upheld the same values and idealogies that the Bible taught us, along with the traditions and theology of John Wesley. To continue this legacy, our Church, along with around 300 other Georgia Churches, left the United Methodist Church to be a part of a conference that represented our beliefs more accurately: the Global Methodist Church.
I can’t make it to Church on Sundays. What can I do?
We offer a wide array of Small Groups, open to all people at various times throughout the week. Check the Events/Media tab to see when you can join us!
I’m not sure if this Church is for me; I don’t know anyone else there.
Our Church is constantly changing shape and growing. We are filled with a strong Church family, some of whom have been attending for generations. However, we also welcome new faces quite often, and love getting the opportunity to show Christ to people, or worship Christ with new friends. With friends and family coming from lots of different backgrounds, and in all shapes and sizes, we are home to a welcoming community. In short, we would love to have you, and you’d fit right in!
